Since one year ago, Tan started to be paralyzed in the left hand side of this body. It did not only create a lot of inconvenience in his daily life but it also took away his joy of being able to go up a few steps in his garden to admire his favorite plants and pet rabbits. Worse still, after a severe storm part of the existing pergola in his garden was shifted and some structure even fell off and created life threatening hazards for him and his family. Through NDIS funding, we were able to help him to rebuild the pergola within the budget of his plan and we also added handrails in order for him to go up to the upper part of his garden where he was not able to go for more than a year! Tan is very glad that he could enjoy his retirement in the garden again together with his wife and seeing all the fruits come into fruition.
